Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition Launched At Rs 26.70 Lakh

American SUV specialist Jeep has launched the Compass 85th Anniversary Edition in India at Rs 26.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Limited to 85 units, the Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition is based on the Model S (O) variant and marks Jeep's 85th anniversary globally.

The Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition retains the same mechanical package as the standard SUV, while adding anniversary-specific exterior and interior details. The Compass 85th Anniversary Edition is available to book through Jeep dealerships across India and the brand's official website.

Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition: What's New?

The exterior changes on the Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition include '85' anniversary decals on the doors, tailgate and wheel centre caps. The Compass 85th Anniversary Edition also gets gloss-black 18-inch alloy wheels, while the existing LED headlamps, eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lamps, seven-slot grille and LED fog lamps remain unchanged.

The rear continues with LED tail-lamps and LED rear fog lamps. Apart from the anniversary decals and black alloy wheels, the Compass retains the same exterior design as the Model S (O), keeping the changes limited to the special-edition treatment.

Inside, the Compass 85th Anniversary Edition gets an all-black cabin with Mayan Gold accents. The black leatherette seats feature gold-coloured stitching, while the same colour is used for the ambient lighting and illumination around the panoramic sunroof.

The standard equipment list includes powered and ventilated front seats, a driver's seat with memory function, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, dual-zone climate control and wireless phone charging.

Jeep is also offering an 85th Anniversary AXS accessory package. It adds illuminated elements for the panoramic sunroof, a digital inside rear-view mirror and front and rear dashcams. Jeep has not yet announced the price of this accessory package.

Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition: Engine And Gearbox

The Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition uses the same 2.0-litre diesel engine as the Compass Model S (O). The engine produces 170hp and 350Nm and is available with a six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic gearbox.

The nine-speed automatic version can also be specified with four-wheel drive, and the 85th Anniversary Edition retains the Compass's independent rear suspension and Frequency-Selective Damping system.
