Hyundai Venue Prices Hiked For Select Variants By Up To ₹20,000
South Korean carmaker Hyundai has revised prices of select variants of the Venue sub-4-metre compact SUV in India. Prices for select variants of the Hyundai Venue have increased by ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 (ex-showroom), depending on the trim and powertrain.
The highest price increase has been applied to the 1.2-litre petrol HX5 manual variant of the Hyundai Venue, which has seen its ex-showroom price rise by ₹20,000 to ₹9.55 lakh. All other variants of the Venue powered by the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre engine that puts out 88hp and 114Nm of peak torque remain unchanged.
In the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol range of the Hyundai Venue, price revisions are limited to DCT-equipped variants. The HX5 DCT and HX6 DCT trims are now costlier by ₹9,000 each, while the higher-spec HX8 DCT sees a smaller increase of ₹5,000.
Other DCT variants, along with all manual variants of the Venue powered by the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, have not seen an increase in thei ex-showroom prices. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine of the Venue puts out 120hp and 172Nm of peak torque
The 1.5-litre diesel variants have received a more consistent increase. Select trims, HX2 Diesel MT, HX5 Diesel MT, HX5 Diesel AT, HX7 Diesel MT, and the HX7 Diesel MT dual-tone, have seen a hike in their ex-showroom prices of ₹8,000. Prices of all other variants of the diesel Hyundai Venue remain unchanged. The Hyundai Venue's 1.5-litre diesel engine delivers 116hp and 250Nm of torque and is paired with either a manual or a torque converter automatic 6-speed gearbox.
Prices for the sportier Hyundai Venue N-Line remain unchanged and continue to range between ₹10.65 lakh and ₹15.58 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, despite the changes in prices for some variants, the regular Hyundai Venue continues to be priced between ₹8 lakh and ₹15.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Venue competes against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Fronx, Tata Nexon and the Kia Sonet.
