Hyundai Staria EV Revealed With 400km Range - The Biggest Hyundai EV Yet
Hyundai has revealed the Staria EV, marking the debut of its largest all-electric vehicle. The Hyundai Staria EV has been unveiled for global markets with a claimed driving range of up to 400km on the WLTP cycle and is scheduled to go on sale in select regions during the first half of 2026.
The Hyundai Staria EV is powered by an 84kWh lithium-ion battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor. The motor produces 160kW (215bhp) and 350Nm of peak torque which is sent to the front wheels via a single-speed reduction gear.

A major highlight of the Staria EV is its 800-volt electrical architecture, which enables high-speed DC fast charging. Using a compatible fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in around 20 minutes. The MPV also supports 11kW AC charging, allowing overnight charging through home or workplace charging setups.
In terms of design, the Hyundai Staria EV retains the futuristic silhouette of the standard Staria. Key EV-specific updates include a closed-off front grille, a revised bumper design, and a front-mounted charging port. The full-width LED light bar, large glass area, and tall body profile remain unchanged, maintaining the MPV's distinctive road presence.

Hyundai has positioned the electric Staria MPV for both private and commercial applications, focusing on long-distance usability and passenger comfort and its interiors reflect that thanks to Hyundai's lounge-inspired cabin layout.
The dashboard features dual 12.3-inch screens, combining a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system. The electric MPV will be offered in multiple seating configurations, including seven-seat and nine-seat layouts, depending on the market. Boot space and interior flexibility vary based on seating arrangement.

The feature list on the Hyundai Staria EV includes connected car technology, multiple USB-C charging ports, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a comprehensive suite of comfort features. Hyundai is also expected to offer Level 2 ADAS functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and autonomous emergency braking in select variants and markets.
Dimensionally, the Hyundai Staria EV measures over 5.2 metres in length and rides on a long wheelbase, freeing up significant interior space for passengers and luggage. Sliding rear doors and a flat floor further improve ease of access and cabin usability.

Hyundai has confirmed that the Staria EV will be launched initially in European and South Korean markets. As of now, there is no confirmation on an India launch, but given Hyundai's bullish EV plans for India, we wouldn't rule out the chance of the Staria EV making its way to our roads.
