Hyundai Motor has updated the Creta Electric SUV with 100 kW DC fast-charging support. Earlier, the Hyundai Creta Electric only supported 50 kW DC fast charging.

Hyundai Creta Electric SUV New upgrade

The Hyundai Creta ICE version is the most popular compact SUV in the Indian market. However, its electric variant is yet to gain similar traction in the EV space. Rivals such as Mahindra and Tata Motors currently dominate the segment with feature-rich and value-focused electric offerings.

Sales of the Creta Electric are lagging behind competitors like the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra BE 06. To strengthen its value proposition, Hyundai has now begun rolling out 100 kW DC fast-charging support for the Creta Electric.

This upgrade effectively doubles the charging speed from 50 kW to 100 kW, reducing the 10-80 per cent charging time from 58 minutes to 39 minutes. All existing Creta Electric owners are eligible for this update and can access it via an OTA software update.

The Creta Electric comes equipped with full LED lighting, active air flaps, a pixelated front grille, a premium cabin with eco-friendly upholstery, a dual panoramic screen setup, a shift-by-wire system, a voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, and an 8-speaker Bose premium sound system.
