Hyundai Bayon to Launch in India Tomorrow - What To Expect
South Korean carmaker Hyundai will announce the prices of the new Bayon UV tomorrow (October 26). Pre-bookings for the Hyundai Bayon are open for Rs 11,000 through the official website and authorised dealerships.
The new Bayon SUV is positioned between the Venue and the Creta in Hyundai's range and it uses the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as the Creta.

Hyundai Bayon Engine and Gearbox
The 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine makes 113bhp and 144Nm. Power goes to the front wheels through a six-speed manual or a CVT.
The CVT version gets Dash Boost Mode and Sporty Drive Tech, two separate features, with Sporty Drive Tech not to be confused with a conventional Sport mode. It also offers three driving modes: Eco, Normal and Sport. A turbo-petrol and a diesel have been ruled out for now. A CNG version could arrive later in the SUV's lifecycle.

Hyundai Bayon - Exterior Design and Colours
At 4.2 metres, the Hyundai Bayon is longer than the sub-compact Venue and shorter than the Creta, which measures over 4.3 metres.
The Hyundai logo sits on the bonnet instead of the grille. The bonnet is upright, and muscular body cladding wraps around the sides, with 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels filling the arches. The rear follows the same design language, with thick black cladding and a sharper, more muscular profile.
Split headlamps and taillights come with an inverted L-shaped unit for the LED DRLs and brake lights. Roof rails, a contrast-coloured shark-fin antenna, a dual-tone spoiler, faux skid plates and Bayon lettering on the tailgate are also on the list, along with body-coloured elements such as the door handles.
Ten exterior colours are on offer across monotone, matte and dual-tone finishes. The monotone shades are Titanium Black, Classy Blue, Atlas White, Fiery Red, Golden Bronze and Ecotronic Grey. Atlas White and Fiery Red are also available with a black roof, while Titanium Black and Classy Blue come in matte finishes.

Hyundai Bayon - Interior, Features and Safety
Two screens sit side by side on the dashboard. The centre console houses touch-sensitive air-conditioning controls flanked by vertically oriented AC vents, and the cabin gets dual-tone upholstery, wireless charging, automatic climate control and an auto-dimming IRVM.
The top variant of the Hyundai Bayon adds Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver's seat and a Bose audio system.
The ADAS suite uses three radars and 12 parking sensors. It includes Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist for cars, pedestrians and cyclists, Blind-spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Departure Warning.
Blind-spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning and Safe Exit Warning are part of the package too. So are cruise control with Stop and Go, Lane Following Assist, Highway Driving Assist, High Beam Assist and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert. Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control handles curves and designated zones.
Six airbags come standard across all variants. The standard safety kit also includes ABS with EBD, ESC, Hill-Start Assist Control, TPMS, three-point seatbelts with reminders, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, rear parking sensors and an Emergency Stop Signal.
Hyundai says the Bayon gets more than 80 advanced safety features, with over 35 fitted as standard across the range.
