Honda ZR-V Hybrid SUV Launch On May 22?
The ZR-V will be offered as a hybrid SUV and is expected to be imported via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. It will join Honda's existing lineup, which includes the Elevate, Amaze, and City.

The Japanese automaker Honda is aiming to strengthen its presence in India with new product introductions. In the premium SUV segment, the ZR-V hybrid will compete with rivals like the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq, and Jeep Meridian.
Key Details
Measuring around 4.5 metres in length, the ZR-V will be the largest model in Honda's current Indian portfolio. It features a premium and sporty design with a sleek silhouette and a strong road presence. The SUV gets integrated LED headlamps, a large front grille, and an aerodynamic rear spoiler. The twin exhaust setup further enhances its sporty appeal.

Powertrain and Mileage
Powering the ZR-V is Honda's 2.0L e:HEV hybrid system, paired with dual electric motors and a battery pack. This setup produces a combined output of 184 PS and 315 Nm, mated to an automatic gearbox. The SUV can reach a top speed of 172 km/h and claims a fuel efficiency of 22.2 km/l, with a real-world driving range of up to 1,000 km.
Features and Highlights
On the inside, the ZR-V offers a premium cabin equipped with a 10.2-inch multi-information display and a centrally mounted 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Honda Connect, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Additional features include a head-up display, satellite navigation, DAB digital radio, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, and wireless charging.

In terms of safety, the ZR-V hybrid comes equipped with Honda Sensing (Level 2 ADAS), adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, multi-view camera system, Lane Watch, Honda Parking Pilot, and reverse auto-tilt mirrors.
Pricing Expectations
The Honda ZR-V is expected to be positioned as a premium offering and could be priced between ₹40-50 lakh (ex-showroom). With hybrids gaining traction as a practical alternative to EVs, it could attract premium buyers looking for efficiency without range anxiety.
