Ferrari Luce EV Interior Revealed: Retro Gauges, Physical Buttons & Apple Touch
Ferrari has revealed the interior design of its first-ever electric car, reportedly called the Luce. The cabin has been developed in collaboration with LoveFrom, the design firm founded by renowned designer Marc Newson and former Apple design chief Jony Ive. The fully electric Ferrari is expected to make its official debut in May 2026.
The automotive industry is steadily moving toward electrification, and even performance-focused manufacturers like Ferrari are preparing their own electric models. The upcoming EV, widely referred to as the Luce, is set to debut later this year. Ahead of the official reveal, Ferrari has teased some glimpses into its interior design.

Ferrari Luce Interiors
The interior combines retro styling with modern elements. It features an analogue-style instrument layout inspired by Ferrari models from the 1950s and 1960s, rather than the fully digital displays commonly seen in modern EVs. Some design elements appear to be inspired by Apple's minimalist design philosophy.
Interestingly, the cabin retains several physical buttons - something increasingly rare in electric vehicles. The steering controls handle functions such as indicators, wipers, ADAS, Suspension, E-Manettino, cruise control, road settings, Paddle, and Ferrari's signature red Manettino drive-mode selector. Additional rotary knobs on the steering wheel allow operating powertrain modes, including Range, Tour, and Performance.

Touch Screen Functions
A centrally mounted touchscreen infotainment system is mounted between uniquely designed silver-finished AC vents. The 10-inch display features rounded edges reminiscent of a tablet design and is movable, with a lower grab handle that functions as a support.
This combination of physical controls and digital interfaces creates a blend of classic and modern user experience. The instrument cluster looks like a classic analogue speedometer but is actually an OLED display reportedly supplied by Samsung. Surrounding panels display warning indicators similar to those of ICE vehicles, and also provide turn-by-turn navigation.

Other Highlights
The centre console features a unique glass drive selector knob along with a dedicated recess for the key. When activated, the key's yellow illumination changes colour to black and the glass knob changes to yellow, indicating power transfer to the vehicle. Additional controls include door locks, window functions, boot release, parking lights, and cup holder space.
Rear passengers are expected to have separate touchscreen displays that show vehicle data such as speed, lap times, and telemetry, reinforcing the performance-oriented character of the EV car.

An overhead console inspired by choppers is also present above the driver's seat, which includes launch control and exterior lighting controls. All the controls are integrated, keeping practicality and daily usability in mind.
Overall, the Ferrari Luce appears to blend heritage-inspired design with modern electric vehicle technology, reflecting Ferrari's effort to integrate its tradition with its electrified future. Enthusiasts are already excited to see how the iconic brand translates its performance DNA into its first fully electric model, which is expected to debut later this year.
