Ferrari CZ26 One-Off Based on SF90 Stradale Unveiled At Monterey Car Week

Italian supercar manufacturer Ferrari has unveiled the CZ26, a one-off supercar built through its Special Projects programme for a client in the US. Based on the SF90 Stradale, the Ferrari CZ26 wears a completely bespoke exterior and interior while retaining the plug-in hybrid powertrain underneath.

The CZ26 was designed by the Ferrari Design Studio under chief design officer Flavio Manzoni, and made its public debut at the ongoing Monterey Car Week in California. Special Projects one-offs like the Ferrari CZ26 typically take around two years to complete.

More recent commissions under Ferrari's Special Projects setup have included the F8 Tributo-based SP48 Unica, the SP51, the SP-8, the KC23 and the F8 Spider-based HC25. Ferrari has not disclosed a price for the CZ26.

Ferrari CZ26: Design & Aerodynamics

The Ferrari CZ26 retains the SF90 Stradale's underlying architecture but gets entirely new bodywork, with a clean two-box silhouette, pronounced wheel arches and a truncated rear. Ferrari says the design was built around an immediately recognisable identity rather than a direct evolution of the donor car.

Up front, a full-width functional grille houses ultra-slim concealed lighting, brake cooling intakes and sensors. At the rear, cantilevered tail-lamps replace the SF90's four square units, while a redesigned diffuser gets a more horizontal layout intended to visually widen the car's stance. Titanium exhaust tips are carried over unchanged.

Along the sides, the air intakes have gained an extra interior duct and the wheelarches have been reshaped, which has pushed the Scuderia shield from the fender onto the door. The Ferrari CZ26 rides on bespoke wheels finished in gloss black with metal surfacing.

The body of the Ferrari CZ26 is finished in an exclusive Argento Veloce silver with Rosso Lampante accents and exposed carbon-fibre elements, a look Ferrari says draws on Italian industrial design from the 1970s reinterpreted through a contemporary design language.

Ferrari has also reworked the aerodynamics extensively. The cooling system, airflow management, underbody and vortex generators have all been redesigned, while a rebuilt central radiator pack and dedicated bypass ducts improve front downforce and airflow. An air-curtain system, a larger rear spoiler and a revised engine cover with new thermal management vents round off the changes, boosting aerodynamic efficiency and engine cooling.

Ferrari CZ26 Revealed: Interior

Inside, the Ferrari CZ26 continues the exterior's colour treatment with black technical fabric upholstery, satin-finish carbon-fibre trim and gloss carbon-fibre elements finished with metallic filaments. The carbon-fibre bucket seats use additively manufactured inserts developed specifically for this car, with red Ferrari logos embroidered onto the headrests.

Rosso Lampante accents and body-coloured dashboard and door trim mirror the exterior finish, while a CZ26 emblem is embroidered on the dashboard and placed between the seats to mark out its one-off status.

Ferrari CZ26 Revealed: Powertrain & Performance

Mechanically, the Ferrari CZ26 is unchanged from the SF90 Stradale. It continues to be powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 797hp and 804Nm, working alongside three electric motors that add a further 220hp for a combined system output of 1,000hp.

The plug-in hybrid system draws on a 7.9kWh battery good for 25km of electric-only range and sends drive through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Ferrari quotes a 0-100km/h time of 2.5 seconds for the CZ26 and a top speed of 328kmh.
