1,050hp Ferrari 849 Testarossa Launched At ₹10.37 Crore - The Redhead Finally Comes To India
Italian supercar specialists Ferrari has unveiled the 849 Testarossa in India with prices starting at ₹10.37 crore (ex-showroom). The Ferrari 849 Testarossa replaces the SF90 Stradale as the brand's flagship series-production supercar and will rival the Lamborghini Revuelto in the hybrid supercar segment.
The price of the 849 Testarossa in India is not inclusive of any options, so expect the actual customer vehicles to feature a big jump in prices. Deliveries of the Ferrari 849 Testarossa in India are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026.
Ferrari 849 Testarossa - Powertrain & Performance
The Ferrari 849 Testarossa like the SF90 Stradale before it uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain combining a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with three electric motors. Two motors are mounted on the front axle and one motor is positioned between the engine and gearbox.
The 849 Testarossa's V8 engine produces 830hp with the three motors upping the totla output of the hybrid system to 1,050hp. Power is sent to all four wheels with the help of an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The Ferrari 849 Testarossa's electric motors draw power from a 7.45kWh battery pack that allows the car to travel up to 25km in electric-only mode.
Ferrari claims a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 2.25 seconds for the 849 Testarossa which can do the 0-200km/h sprint in 6.3 seconds. The 849 Testarossa will continue to accelerate until it finally tops out at 330km/h.
Ferrari 849 Testarossa - Exterior Design
The Ferrari 849 Testarossa adopts a design inspired by classic Ferrari models while also incorporating modern aerodynamic elements. The front fascia features L-shaped LED headlamps connected by a gloss-black trim strip running across the bonnet. The front bumper integrates a large central air intake and a pronounced splitter.
The side profile of the 849 Testarossa includes large alloy wheels, sculpted bodywork and prominent air intakes integrated into the rear buttresses. The rear design features slim LED tail-lights, a high-mounted dual-exhaust system and a large rear diffuser.
Ferrari 849 Testarossa - Interior & Technology
The Ferrari 849 Testarossa's cabin features a driver-focused layout with a split cockpit design separating the two sports seats with a tall centre console. The dashboard omits a traditional central infotainment touchscreen.
The 849 Testarossa features a large 6-inch digital driver display paired with a 9-inch passenger screen. The steering wheel includes physical control buttons replacing Ferrari's earlier haptic controls.
Connectivity features include smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as wireless phone charging. The cabin also includes carbon-fibre trim elements and sports seats.
The 849 Testarossa replaces the SF90 Stradale in Ferrari's global lineup and serves as the brand's flagship road-going V8 hybrid supercar. The 849 Testarossa will compete with other electrified supercars such as the Lamborghini Revuelto.
