Italian supercar manufacturer Ferrari, one of the most iconic names in the global automotive industry, is set to debut its 849 Testarossa in India on March 14, 2026. Positioned as the brand's new flagship hypercar, the model will replace the Ferrari SF90 Stradale in the lineup.

Ferrari Testarossa To Make Debut In India

The upcoming Testarossa is expected to showcase Ferrari's latest advancements in hybrid performance, cutting-edge aerodynamics, and race engineering, making it one of the most anticipated supercar launches in the Indian luxury car market.

Design

The new Testarossa features striking L-shaped LED headlamps with glossy black strips on the bonnet that resemble design cues from classic Ferrari models. The hypercar sits extremely low-slung and receives extensive black treatment across the body, complemented by large alloy wheels and a sculpted roofline that enhances its aggressive stance.

The design is sharp and sleek, with aerodynamic wings and a sculpted rear profile. At the back, it gets slim LED light bars, a high-mounted dual exhaust, and a diffuser. The body also includes multiple air intakes and vents, improving aerodynamics, cooling, and high-speed stability.

Powertrain

This hypercar will feature a 4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine paired with a plug-in hybrid setup. The hybrid system includes three electric motors: two mounted on the front axle and a third positioned between the engine and gearbox. The powerful V8 engine alone produces 840 hp, and when combined with the electric motors, the total output rises to an impressive 1,050 hp.

It is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive (4WD) drivetrain. The hypercar can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.3 seconds and achieve a top speed of 330 km/h. It also comes with a 7.45 kWh battery pack, enabling an additional electric-only driving range of around 16 to 25 km.

Sporty Interiors

On the inside, the cabin features a sporty and driver-focused dashboard layout with two racing-style sport seats. It also gets a large 16-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch passenger display instead of a traditional infotainment system. Most of the functional controls remain physical buttons, enhancing driver engagement and usability. The hypercar also includes a seven-speaker audio system with wireless connectivity.

Pricing Expectations and Rivals

This upcoming flagship Ferrari model will rival the Lamborghini Revuelto and is expected to cost around ₹10.37 crore (ex-showroom) in India. With additional customisation options and accessories, the price could climb even higher, making it one of the most expensive cars available in the country.
