Car Launches May 2026 (Expected): Majestor, Ebella, City Facelift, ZR-V, M440i Convertible
May 2026 is shaping up as a busy month for the Indian market. Prices for the MG Majestor and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella are expected to be revealed this month while the Tata Sierra EV is expected to debut as well.
Meanwhile Honda has a double launch set for this month with both the the City facelift and the Z-RV premium SUV set to arrive this month. On the premium end of the market. BMW is also set to announce prices for the M440i Convertible. So let's take a look at the cars/SUVs that will launch this month...

MG Majestor
JSW MG Motor India is expected to finally reveal the prices for the Majestor this month as deliveries for the Fortuner rival will start this month after having been unveiled earlier this year. The three-row MG Majestor SUV comes in Sharp and Savvy trims, with both six and seven-seat configurations as well rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive drivetrains available.
Highlights of the MG Majestor include a 2.0-litre twin-turbodiesel engine and triple differential locks along with a 12.23-inch touchscreen for the infotainment setup, dual wireless charging trays,and cooled, powered, massaging front seats. The Majestor is set to replace the Gloster in MG's India lineup and is expected to range between ₹39-45 lakh (ex-showroom).

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella
Toyota is expected to finally announce prices for the Urban Cruiser Ebella this month after missing an earlier projected timeline of April. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella SUV shares its platform and equipment with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.
Two battery pack options - 49.1kWh and 61.3kW- are offered across three variants with a maximum range of 543km on single charge and a 10-80 Fast DC charging time of 45 minutes. Pricing for the Toyota Ebella are expected to range between ₹16-20 lakh, ex-showroom.

Honda City Facelift & Z-RV
Honda will launch both the facelifted City sedan and the Z-RV premium SUV on the 22nd of May. The updated City is likely to carry over its current petrol and strong hybrid powertrains, with cosmetic and feature revisions.
The Z-RV, on the other hand, will be positioned as Honda's flagship SUV for India and will go up against the likes of the the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line, Skoda Kodiaq, and the Jeep Meridian among others. A hybrid powertrain with a 2.0-litre petrol engine combined with electric motoros in Honda's e:HEV strong hybrid setup with 184bhp and 315Nm on tap wllbe offered.

Tata Sierra EV
Tata Motors is expected to launch the Sierra EV in May, slotting it below the Harrier EV in the company's electric portfolio. The Tata Sierra EV is expected tobe offered in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive (which Tata calls QWD) variants.
The all-new Tata Sierra EV will contend in a crowded space: rivals include the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Vinfast VF6, MG Windsor EV and TOyota's upcoming Ebella. Expected pricing for the Tata Sierra EV to fall between ₹15 lakh and ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom) as the electric SUV is expected to beoffered in multiple battery configurations and variants.

BMW M440i Convertible
On the premium end of the Indian car market, German luxury carmaker BMW is set to announce India pricing for the M440i Convertible this month. The BMW M440i Convertible is powered by a 3.0-litre inline-six turbo petrol producing 369bhp and 500Nm, which is paired with an eight-speed automatic.
A 48V mild hybrid system provides additional boost to the BMW M440i Convertible, which can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds. The top-speed for this drop-top BMW is electronically limited to 250km/h..
The M440i Convertible features a fabric soft top can be operated at speeds up to 50kmph, and the cabin is fitted with dual digital displays, Harman Kardon audio, and powered front seats.
