BYD Sealion 7 First Anniversary Edition Launched At ₹49.4 Lakh
Chinese EV giant BYD has launched the Sealion 7 First Anniversary Edition in India at ₹49.4 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition marks one year of the BYD Sealion 7's presence in the Indian market and is available to book for a token amount of ₹70,000.
Highlights of the BYD Sealion 7 include a distinctive Tahiti Blue interior and more benefits for the first 1,100 bookers. Buyers also get a complimentary 2-year free service & maintenance and a complimentary 11 kW home charger with free installation. Also offered is an eight-year, 150,000 km warranty.
The Sealion 7 continues to be offered in two variants - Premium and Performance - both using the same 82.56kWh battery pack. Prices for the Sealion 7 First Anniversary Edition range from ₹49.4 lakh (Premium) to ₹54.9 lakh for the Performance variant (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom).

BYD Sealion 7 First Anniversary Edition - Battery Pack & Performance
The BYD Sealion 7 uses an 82.56kWh battery pack paired with two powertrain configurations. The Premium variant produces 313hp and 380 Nm with a rear-wheel-drive layout, while the Performance variant develops 530hp and 690Nm from its dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. Performance figures include a 0-100kph time of 6.7 seconds for the RWD version and 4.5 seconds for the AWD variant.
The Premium variant of the Sealion 7 offers a claimed range of 567km, while the Performance variant delivers 542km on a full charge. Both variants use the same battery but differ in drivetrain configuration. The Sealion 7 supports DC fast charging up to 150kW. The Sealion 7 measures 4,830mm in length, 1,925mm in width and 1,620mm in height, with a 2,930mm wheelbase.
BYD Sealion 7 First Anniversary Edition - Design And Features
The Sealion 7 uses BYD's Ocean-X design language with a coupe-like roofline and prominent X-shaped lighting elements. Wheel sizes range from 19 inches on the Premium variant to 20 inches on the Performance trim. The SUV also offers a 500-litre boot and a 58-litre front trunk.
The BYD Sealion 7 also features a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument display integrated into the dashboard. The cabin uses a flat dashboard layout with ambient lighting and premium materials.
Other standard equipment includes powered, ventilated and heated seats, a panoramic glass roof with electric sunshade, 12 Dynaudio speakers, 50 W wireless phone charging, connected car features, intelligent electric tailgate, Vehicle-to-Load tech and ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems).
The Sealion 7 sits in the premium electric SUV segment and competes with models such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and BMW iX1 LWB.
