BYD India Hikes Prices By Up To Rs 1 Lakh; Atto 3, Seal And Sealion 7 Get Costlier
BYD India has announced a price revision across select variants of its electric passenger vehicle portfolio in India. The updated ex-showroom prices came into effect from July 1, 2026, with increases ranging between Rs 50,000 and Rs 1 lakh depending on the model and variant.
BYD Hikes Prices Of Select EVs In India
The revised prices will be applicable to select variants of the BYD Atto 3, BYD Sealion 7, and BYD Seal. However, prices of certain Atto 3 and BYD eMAX 7 variants remain unchanged. According to the company, the price hike comes in response to rising input costs, inflationary pressures, and continued investments in expanding its dealership network and advanced technology offerings in India.

Alongside the price revision, BYD has also expanded its India lineup with a new Comfort variant of the eMAX 7, priced from Rs 27.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant now gets an upgraded 71.8kWh battery pack, further strengthening BYD's family-focused EV portfolio in the country.
Commenting on the update, Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, said "BYD India has witnessed an encouraging customer response across its electric passenger vehicle portfolio. As we continue to invest in technology, customer experience, and network expansion, we have implemented a price revision on a few variants in our range."
He added "We remain focused on delivering advanced, sustainable, and high-performance electric mobility solutions that cater to the evolving needs of Indian consumers, while continuing to provide exceptional value through a strong ownership experience."

Beyond its electric vehicle lineup, BYD has also introduced its global DM-i technology hybrid powertrain technology in India, marking its entry into the hybrid passenger vehicle segment that offers a maximum range of upto 1000 kms per full tank.
With an expanding network of 48 dealerships across 40 cities and a growing portfolio of premium EVs and hybrids, BYD India continues to strengthen its presence in the country's fast-growing sustainable mobility market.
