1. More EV Than Hybrid

Most hybrid vehicles operate primarily as petrol-powered cars, with the electric motor assisting during acceleration and low-speed driving. BYD's DM-i technology takes a different approach.

The vehicle runs on electric power for most driving conditions, with the electric motor handling the majority of propulsion duties. The petrol engine primarily acts as a generator, supplying energy to the battery when required. This results in a quieter, smoother, and more EV-like driving experience while maximising efficiency.
