Denza India Debut Confirmed For November 13
BYD has confirmed November 13, 2026 as the India debut date for its luxury brand Denza. Two electric models, the Z9 GT shooting brake and the D9 MPV, are expected to lead the BYD Denza line-up here in India.
Denza began in 2010 as a 50:50 joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz, and BYD now has full control of the brand. Both models will sit above the BYD range in India, with prices expected to start above Rs 80 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

BYD's Denza Plans For India
Initial units from Denza's lineup for India will arrive as completely built units under the 2,500-unit homologation exemption quota. Local assembly could follow later, depending on demand.
Denza will operate its own exclusive showrooms across major Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities. The network will expand in phases, based on demand and market feedback. The product roadmap and retail setup could be revealed on the day the brand debuts in India.
The BYD Denza brand is aiming at the Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1.5 crore luxury EV space. Rivals include Mercedes, BMW and Audi, along with the upcoming Genesis entry into India.
