Next-Gen BYD Atto 3 Unveiled At 2026 Beijing Auto Show – 630 KM Range & Fast Charging

Chinese electric car manufacturer BYD has unveiled the new-generation Atto 3, bringing a longer driving range and significantly faster charging capabilities. The update comes shortly after the launch of the Atto 3 Evo in India, which already introduced a larger battery pack and improved range.

BYD Atto 3 New Gen Revealed in China

At the Beijing Auto Show 2026, BYD unveiled the next-generation Atto 3 electric SUV. It features a refreshed design language and additional features compared to the current model. The biggest highlights include a claimed range of up to 630 km and ultra-fast charging capability, making it one of the most advanced offerings in its segment.

The new-gen Atto 3 gets a redesigned front fascia with a sculpted bumper, new alloy wheels, semi-flush door handles, and a floating roof design. At the rear, it features a new set of LED tail lights along with an illuminated BYD logo. The overall dimensions of the vehicle have also been increased compared to the model currently sold in India.

With an increased wheelbase, the cabin now offers more space, enhancing both comfort and road presence. The new-generation Atto 3 claims a maximum boot capacity of 750 litres along with a 180-litre frunk at the front.

Battery and Range

In China, the Atto 3 is available with two battery pack options: a 57.54 kWh unit and a 68.54 kWh unit. Using BYD's Blade battery technology, the SUV delivers a claimed range of up to 540 km and 630 km, respectively.

It is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 272 hp of power and 327 Nm of torque. The model now supports ultra-fast charging, with BYD claiming a 10-97% charge in just 9 minutes.

Highlights

On the inside, the SUV gets several premium features including a two-spoke steering wheel, a reclining front passenger seat, a heated and cooled glovebox, a panoramic glass roof, 256-colour ambient lighting, a 16-speaker audio system, 50W wireless charging, 60W USB Type-C charging, and LiDAR-assisted driving features.

The next-generation BYD Atto 3 is expected to arrive in India by the second half of 2026. The current model on sale in India is priced at ₹24.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top variant goes up to ₹33.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
