BMW X6 Returns To India With 530hp V8, Priced At Rs 1.78 Crore

BMW has revived the X6 coupe-SUV for 2026 in the Indian market, with the new model arriving in M60i xDrive guise at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.78 crore. The 2026 BMW X6 M60i has been brought into India via the Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU) route.

2026 BMW X6 M60i: Powertrain And Chassis

The BMW X6 M60i is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid assistance, producing 530hp and 750Nm of torque. Power goes to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox, with the SUV completing the 0-100kph sprint in a claimed 4.3 seconds and hitting a top speed of 250kph.

The BMW X6's V8 engine is paired with rear-wheel steering, adaptive suspension, a limited-slip differential and a rear-biased xDrive all-wheel-drive system. BMW claims a fuel efficiency of 7.89kpl for the SUV, which carries the most powerful engine in its segment.

2026 BMW X6 M60i: Exterior Design

The 2026 BMW X6 M60i retains its signature coupe-SUV silhouette with a muscular stance throughout. Up front, adaptive LED headlamps sit alongside a blacked-out kidney grille and a dual-tone bumper with wide air intakes and side vents.

In profile, a sloping roofline blends into an upright boot, accompanied by M60i badging on the front fenders, 21-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, red M-branded brake callipers and black-finished ORVMs. Flared wheel arches and pronounced rear haunches add to its commanding road presence.

At the rear, the BMW X6 gets wrap-around LED tail-lamps, fog lamps, a sculpted dual-tone bumper, quad exhaust tips and M60i badging on the tailgate. Dimensions stand at 4,960mm in length, 2,004mm in width and 1,700mm in height, with a 2,975mm wheelbase, 216mm ground clearance and 580 litres of boot space. Six standard colour options are on offer, alongside BMW Individual paint choices.

Inside, M-branded detailing extends across the cabin, including an M leather steering wheel, a backlit M inscription on the dashboard, M tricolour seatbelt stitching and M60i badged door scuff plates. The dashboard is finished in black with silver accents, while seat upholstery is available in black, cognac, silverstone and a two-tone red and black option. An Alcantara roofliner and glass finish for the drive selector, iDrive controller and start/stop button are offered as optional extras.

Feature highlights on the 2026 BMW X6 M60i include a dual curved-screen setup comprising a 14.9-inch infotainment display and a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, powered and ventilated front seats, a head-up display, a wireless phone charger, rear sunshades, soft-closing doors and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Safety equipment spans a 360-degree camera, reverse parking assistant and Level 2 ADAS, while massaging front seats are offered as an optional fitment.

The 2026 BMW X6 squares off against the Audi SQ8, Porsche Cayenne Coupe GTS and Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe in the performance coupe-SUV space. The segment continues to see fresh competition as luxury manufacturers expand their high-performance SUV lineups in India.
