BMW M2 CS Launched At ₹1.66 Crore - 530hp Coupe Is M's Last Real RWD Lunatic
BMW has launched the M2 CS for a price of ₹1.66 crore, ex-showroom. The BMW M2 CS will be available in India as a limited-run performance coupe, though the German luxury marque still hasn't given any details regarding numbers.
The BMW M2 CS sits at the top of the 2 Series range and focuses on higher output, reduced weight and track-focused hardware compared to the M2. The M2 CS will be imported into India as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) model.

BMW M2 CS Launched - Performance
The M2 CS is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six engine producing 530hp at 6,250rpm and 650Nm of peak torque between 2,750rpm and 5,730rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic gearbox.
The BMW M2 CS accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds with launch control activated and tops out at 302km/h, which is thanks to the fact that the M Driver's package comes as standard with the M2 CS.

The BMW M2 CS uses adaptive M suspension and M Servotronic steering with selectable drive modes. BMW's M Drive system allows individual settings to be stored and accessed via steering-mounted M1 and M2 buttons.
Track-focused features on the M2 CS include M Track Mode, an Active M Differential to manage traction under hard acceleration, a lap timer, 10-stage traction control and a drift analyser.

BMW M2 CS Launched - Design & Features
The BMW M2 CS uses carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) components across the body. These include a CFRP roof, rear diffuser, boot lid with integrated ducktail spoiler and mirror caps.
The front gets a blacked-out kidney grille with larger air inlets, along with a matte black splitter. At the rear, the m2 CS features dual exhausts with electronically controlled flaps and CS-specific badging with red highlights.
The cabin features M carbon bucket seats with illuminated CS badging and an Alcantara steering wheel with carbon shift paddles. A CFRP centre console and anthracite headliner are also part of the lightweight setup.
BMW's Live Cockpit Professional setup includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and a 14.9-inch curved touchscreen running OS 8.5. The system supports navigation, voice control and connected car functions along with a head-up display and a rear-view camera.
The M2 CS comes packed with a host of safety features, including front, side and curtain airbags. Other standard safety kit on the BMW M2 CS includes ABS, brake assist, dynamic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, and ISOFIX mounts. The M2 CS also gets Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Automatic Stability Control (ASC), M Dynamic Mode (MDM), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dry Braking function and Active M Differential as standard.
Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India said, "The new BMW M2 CS is optimized for the ultimate thrill. By bringing this global track icon to Indian shores, we are catering to a growing community of enthusiasts who demand an uncompromising, pure-blooded driving experience.
