Aston Martin Valen Debuts With 850hp V12 - Limited To 150 Units

British sportscar manufacturer Aston Martin has revealed the Valen as its most powerful front-engined production car yet at the 2026 Monterey Car Week. The Aston Martin Valen uses an 850hp 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine and is limited to just 150 units.

The Aston Martin Valen will be hand-built by Aston Martin's Q personalisation division, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027.

Aston Martin Valen: Engine & Performance

Power for the Aston Martin Valen comes from a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 producing 850hp and 1,000Nm of torque. It reaches the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox, its software remapped using the Vantage GT4 racecar's calibration for sharper shifts across every drive mode.

Aston Martin claims a 0-100km/h time of 3.1 seconds and an electronically capped top speed of 345km/h. Carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium components keep the kerb weight down.

Changes extend beyond the powertrain. Aston Martin has revised the hardware and software governing the ESP, throttle, brakes and steering, while stiffer springs cut down roll and pitch for sharper responses to driver inputs.

Aston Martin Valen: Exterior Design

Aston Martin Valen

The Valen's design marks a departure from the brand's usual gentlemanly styling. Chief creative officer Marek Reichman calls it "a significant departure from what has gone before." Up front, the GT wears a new snout with an aggressive, vented bonnet that feeds more air to the engine, while the familiar Aston Martin grille motif stretches to the edges of the fascia, flanked by slim, horizontal LED daytime running lights and headlights. A sharply angled front splitter directs airflow into the car's underbody.

Lightweight magnesium wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero R tyres developed specifically for the Valen (275/35 ZR21 front, 325/30 ZR21 rear), sit in the wheel arches. These tyres use Pirelli's Cyber Tyre technology to share real-time data with the car's dynamic control systems. Large functional vents in the side strakes pull air from the wheel arches and route it rearward to boost downforce.

At the back, a solid tailgate replaces the usual fixed windscreen and opens to reveal 170 litres of boot space. An integrated wing acts as a Gurney flap, generating downforce with minimal drag and eliminating the need for a separate rear wing. Below it sits a slim LED tail-light bar and 3D-printed titanium quad exhausts, arranged two-up, two-down, with the lower outlets opening only in the sportiest drive modes.

Aston Martin also offers a fully exposed carbon fibre exterior, finished in satin or gloss tints through the brand's Q customisation programme.

Aston Martin Valen: Interior & Features

Inside, the Valen gets a minimalist dashboard layout, built around a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, a 3-spoke steering wheel and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. The centre console is 3D-printed for tighter tolerances and finished in exposed carbon fibre, housing a push-button start and an aircraft-style drive mode selector.

Buyers can choose between Sport Plus seats, tuned for long-distance comfort, or carbon fibre Performance seats aimed at a more focused drive. The cabin also includes a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system, a 360-degree camera system, a digital inside rearview mirror, a powered steering column and a wireless phone charger.
