Ashok Leyland Dost, Dost+ XL Twin Fuel Launched - Prices Start From ₹ 8.20 Lakh
Ashok Leyland has launched Twin Fuel variants of the Dost and Dost+ XL LCVs in India with prices starting at ₹8.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Ashok Leyland Dost and Dost+ XL introduce a dual-fuel system that allows operation on both CNG and petrol.

Ashok Leyland Dost: What's New?
The key update to the Ashok Leyland Dost lineup is the introduction of Twin Fuel technology across the Dost and Dost+ XL. This system allows the vehicle to run on compressed natural gas and switch to petrol when required.
The two light commercial vehicles are equipped with a setup that enables switching between fuels during operation. This dual-fuel configuration is designed to allow continued operation without depending on a single fuel source.
Ashok Leyland Dost: Twin Fuel Powertrain Range & Payload Capacity
Both the Asok Leyland Dost & Dost+ XL are powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine that runs on both petrol and CNG. In petrol guise, the engine produces 100Nm of peak torque, while in CNG guise, it rises to 105Nm. Both models use the petrol tank as a secondary fuel source alongside the primary CNG system.
The Dost Twin Fuel is equipped with a 120-litre CNG tank along with a 5-litre petrol tank. The combined setup delivers a claimed driving range of 400km. The Dost+ XL Twin Fuel, on the other hand, features a larger 148-litre CNG tank paired with a 5-litre petrol tank. It delivers a claimed driving range of 500km.
Both the Ashok Leyland Dost and Dost+ XL offer a 4.1 square metre loading area, with the former offering a payload capacity of 1,218kg. The Dost+ XL Twin Fuel offers a higher payload capacity of 1,410kg.
