Actor Ajith Kumar Gets Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition EV SUV
Mahindra & Mahindra has gifted actor and racer Ajith Kumar a brand-new Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition. Ajith Kumar has been actively involved in endurance racing and also owns a racing team. Inspired by Mahindra's participation in the Formula E World Championship, the special edition electric SUV is a fitting addition to the actor-racer's impressive garage.
Ajith Kumar Gets Mahindra BE 06 Formula E Edition
Mahindra is actively involved in the Formula E World Championship, a premier single-seater electric racing series. The brand has already established a strong presence in India's EV sector with models such as the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, Mahindra BE 6, Mahindra XEV 9e, and Mahindra XEV 9s.
These electric SUVs come equipped with advanced technology, connected features, and high-capacity battery packs offering impressive driving ranges. Mahindra's passion for motorsport has also led the company to participate in the Formula E championship, often regarded as the pinnacle of electric racing.
The BE 6 Formula E Edition draws inspiration from Mahindra's Formula E racing legacy and features several exclusive styling elements, including custom decals, unique interior accents, and racing-inspired liveries.
Key highlights include new projector headlamps, Formula E-branded seats, signature bumpers, Formula E-inspired graphics, accented brake callipers, a special badge of honour, and a start/stop switch with a distinctive flip cap.
The special edition is available in two variants - Pack FE2 and Pack FE3. It is powered by a 79 kWh battery pack that claims a maximum range of up to 683 km, while real-world driving conditions are expected to deliver around 550 km of range. The Formula E Edition is available in colours such as Everest White, Tango Red, Stealth Black, and Firestorm Orange.
Ajith Kumar, a passionate racer and admirer of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna, received the Tango Red BE 6 Formula E Edition. The vehicle was handed over to him in Chennai by R Velusamy, President of Automotive Technology & Product Development at Mahindra.
Ajith Kumar is known for his impressive car collection, which includes high-performance models such as the McLaren Senna, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, and Porsche 911 GT3 RS. With the addition of the Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition, the actor-racer has now added a unique electric performance SUV to his growing garage.
