2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition Launched At Rs 36.51 Lakh

Japanese carmaker Toyota has launched the 2026 Fortuner Leader Edition in India. The 2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is offered in two guises, 4x2 manual at Rs 36.51 lakh and 4x2 automatic at Rs 38.72 lakh(both prices are ex-showroom).

Bookings for the 2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition open on October 12 through Toyota's official website and dealerships. The changes to the 2026 Fortuner Leader Edition are limited to cosmetics and cabin features, with the powertrain carried over from other 4x2 Fortuner versions. The 2024 and 2025 Leader Editions were dealer-level options.

The automatic carries a premium of Rs 2.21 lakh over the manual. Customers can choose from Super White, Platinum White Pearl and Attitude Black, and the Silver shade from the 2025 edition has been dropped.

The 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine makes 204hp and 500Nm with the 6-speed automatic gearbox. Torque drops to 420Nm with the 6-speed manual. The Leader Edition is offered only in 4x2 form, while four-wheel-drive versions are available elsewhere in the Fortuner range.

2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition - Design, Features and Warranty

The 2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition gets a black-finished grille and a front bumper with black and silver trim, with TOYOTA lettering on the bonnet. The 18-inch alloy wheels are gloss black with matching hub caps.

A dual-tone black roof, black tailgate trim, black rear door garnish and a black antenna complete the exterior changes. Body-side mouldings are part of the package.

Inside, the upholstery is dual-tone black and maroon, with matching door trims and illuminated door sills. Ambient lighting is new over the 2025 Leader Edition. Auto-folding ORVMs and a tyre pressure monitoring system are also fitted. Both were part of last year's edition as well.

The 2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition comes with a standard three-year/1,00,000km warranty that can be extended up to five years/2,20,000km, plus five years of complimentary roadside assistance. Owners can also opt for the Toyota Smiles Plus service programme.

Finance plans run up to seven years, and Toyota Smart Balloon Finance is also offered. Pre-approved options are available for value-added services such as extended warranty and Toyota Genuine Accessories.
