2026 Tata Tiago EV Launched At ₹6.99 Lakh: 285km Range, Revised Design, New Interior & 40% Faster Charging

Tata Motors has launched the 2026 Tiago EV in India at a starting price of ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated electric hatchback receives revised exterior styling, a completely redesigned dual-tone interior, enhanced safety equipment, and improved charging capabilities, while retaining its existing battery pack lineup.

The Tiago EV continues to rival the MG Comet EV and Citroen eC3, remaining Tata's most affordable EV in the market. The update brings significant equipment upgrades across the range, including a jump from dual to six standard airbags.

2026 Tata Tiago EV - Battery, Range and Charging

The 2026 Tiago EV continues with two battery options: 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The 19.2kWh unit produces 62hp and 110Nm with a claimed MIDC range of 226km, while the 24kWh pack develops 75hp and 114Nm with a 285km MIDC range. Tata's C75 (claimed real-world) range figures stand at 160-170km and 205-215km respectively.

Tata claims the 2026 Tata Tiago EV charges 40 percent faster than before, adding 100km of range in 18 minutes. Both packs support DC fast charging from 10-80 percent in 35 minutes via a 30kW charger, with 3.3kW and 7.2kW AC charging also on offer. The 24kWh variant gets a lifetime unlimited-kilometre warranty on the high-voltage battery pack for the first registered owner.

The 2026 model gets a reworked front fascia featuring sleek LED headlamps, new brow-style LED DRLs, and a closed-off body-coloured grille. Revised bumpers with faux air vents at the edges and new 15-inch wheels with contrasting wheel-arch cladding round off the exterior changes. Connected LED tail-lamps and a revised bumper refresh the rear profile.

Tata offers the Tiago EV in six colours: Dehradun Dew, Sobo Surge, Pangong Pulse, Matheran Monsoon, Pure Grey, and Pristine White. The dual-tone black roof, shark-fin antenna, and chrome door handle accents are also part of the package.

Inside, the cabin receives a fully redesigned dual-tone dashboard with a free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen and a part-digital TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth support. The feature list includes connected car tech with over 40 functions, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, cruise control, and new rear AC vents.

Additional highlights include a cooled glovebox, auto-fold ORVMs, height-adjustable driver's seat, four speakers, and a new rotary drive selector. The centre console gets two wireless charging pads in gloss black, while new grey fabric upholstery and a front centre armrest complete the cabin upgrade.

Six airbags are now standard across the range, replacing the earlier dual-airbag setup. The safety kit also includes ESP with traction control, hill hold assist, TPMS, torque vectoring by braking, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera with multiple viewing modes, and a blind-view monitor. Tata has also reinforced the body structure for improved crash protection.
