2026 Renault Kwid Launched At Rs 4.53 Lakh - 2 Trim Levels, Dealer-Fitted CNG Kit Also Avaliable

French carmaker Renault has launched the 2026 Kwid in India at a starting price of Rs 4.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated 2026 Renault Kwid hatchback is offered in Evolution and Climber trims, each available with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

2026 Renault Kwid: Price And Variants

The base Renault Kwid Evolution manual variant costs Rs 4.53 lakh, while the Evolution AMT is priced at Rs 4.90 lakh. The Climber trim starts at Rs 5.15 lakh for the manual and goes up to Rs 5.61 lakh for the AMT. (all Prices mentioned are ex-showroom, Delhi)

A retrofitted CNG kit is also available on the manual variants of the new 2026 Kwid for an additional Rs 70,450. THis setup is backed by a 3-year or 1 lakh km warranty, whichever comes first. The CNG kits will be fitted at authorised Renault workshops.

The starting price of the 2026 Kwid is Rs 22,000 higher than the outgoing model's base Authentic trim. However, the Evolution and Climber trims have become cheaper by up to Rs 14,000 and Rs 32,000, respectively. The previous Authentic and Techno trims have been discontinued.

2026 Renault Kwid: Exterior Design

The 2026 Kwid gets new 3D Renault badges and redesigned dual-tone plastic covers for its 14-inch steel wheels. The tailgate now carries Kwid lettering in a different font that before which is finished in silver.

Other exterior elements have been carried over from the outgoing model, including the eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights, halogen headlights and taillights, and the front and rear bumpers.

The 2026 Renault Kwid's dimensions remain unchanged at 3,731mm in length, 1,579mm in width, and 1,474mm in height, with a 2,422mm wheelbase and 184mm of ground clearance. Boot space stands at 279 litres.

2026 Renault Kwid: Interior And Features

Inside, the 2026 Kwid gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel borrowed from the Kiger, featuring buttons for the infotainment system. The rest of the cabin has been carried over unchanged from the pre-facelift version of the hatchback.

Features for the 2026 Renault Kwid include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument cluster with a multi-information display, manual AC, and four power windows. Black fabric seat upholstery with yellow accents continues as well.

The base Evolution trim comes with dual airbags, while the Climber trim gets 6 airbags. Other safety features include a rear parking camera with sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist on AMT variants, keyless entry with central locking, ABS with EBD, and seatbelt reminders.

2026 Renault Kwid: Engine And Gearbox

Power for the 2026 Renault Kwid comes from the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine as before that produces 69hp and 92.5Nm. The Kwid's engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT.

The Kwid rivals the Maruti S-Presso and Maruti Alto K10, which are priced lower, starting at Rs 3.50 lakh and Rs 3.70 lakh, respectively.
