2026 Renault Duster Unveiled: The Icon Returns With Turbo Petrol & Hybrid Power - Pre-Bookings Open
The 2026 Renault Duster has been officially unveiled in India, marking the return of the Duster nameplate after a multi-year absence from the market. This is the third-generation model of the Renault Duster and the India-specific version tailored to local requirements.
The French Carmaker has opened bookings for the 2026 Renault Duster for ₹21,000. Prices will be revealed for the new Renault Duster in March 2026, with deliveries of the turbo-petrol variants starting in mid-April, while the hybrid variants will reach homes by Diwali (November).
2026 Renault Duster Powertrain Options
The 2026 Renault Duster is offered with multiple petrol-based powertrains for India, with diesel engines not forming part of the lineup. All variants are configured with front-wheel drive and are offered with a choice ofmanual and automatic transmissions
Engine options include a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit pushing out 100hp and 152Nm (5-speed manual only), a more powerful 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 163hp and 280Nm (6-speed manual and DCT), and a 1.8-litre strong hybrid petrol powertrain positioned at the top of the range, details of which will be revealed at a later date.
2026 Renault Duster Exterior Design
The India-spec 2026 Renault Duster retains the overall silhouette of the global model but features several unique visual elements. At the front, the SUV gets redesigned headlamps with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs, which also double up as turn indicators.
The grille carries prominent Duster lettering, while the front bumper features a protruding silver surround that adds contrast. Pixel-style fog lamps are positioned at the lower edges of the bumper, completing the front-end layout.
Along the sides, the 2026 Renault Duster features heavy black cladding around the wheel arches and lower doors, reinforcing its rugged positioning. The roof rails are finished in black and are functional rather than purely decorative.
The rear door handles are mounted on the C-pillar, maintaining continuity with the global design. At the rear, the India-spec 2026 Renault Duster features a full-width connected LED tail lamp strip, a feature not offered on the international version.
Additional rear details include a roof-mounted spoiler, rear wiper and washer, and a black bumper with a contrasting silver insert, rounding out the exterior changes for the India-spec model.
2026 Renault Duster Interior And Features
Inside, the 2026 Renault Duster features an all-new cabin layout with leatherette upholstery across the seats, dashboard and door panels. The interior is finished predominantly in black with green contrast accents and stitching.
The dashboard houses a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. A digital instrument cluster is positioned behind the three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls.
Comfort-focused features include powered and ventilated front seats, a sliding front armrest, and a rear centre armrest with cupholders. A panoramic sunroof is also offered, adding to the cabin's sense of space.
Other equipment highlights include a wireless phone charger, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a powered tailgate, bringing the 2026 Renault Duster in line with current segment expectations.
2026 Renault Duster Safety And Driver Assistance
Safety equipment on the 2026 Renault Duster includes six airbags as standard, along with front and rear parking sensors. A 360-degree camera system is also part of the feature list.
The new Duster is also equipped with Level-2 ADAS, covering functions such as adaptive cruise control and lane assistance. An electronic parking brake and all-wheel disc brakes are standard across the range.
2026 Renault Duster Rivals
The 2026 Renault Duster will compete in the mid-size C_SUV segment , taking on established mid-size SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and the Tata Sierra.
