2026 MINI Countryman C Launching This Month – Could Cost Less Than JCW Variant

British car manufacturer MINI has announced that it will launch the 2026 Countryman C in India on June 17. This new variant will be positioned below the top-of-the-line Countryman JCW All4 trim in the brand's SUV lineup.

The 2026 MINI Countryman C is set for its official launch, and bookings have already commenced through MINI dealerships as well as the company's official website. While the exact pricing has not yet been announced, it is expected to be more affordable than the performance-oriented Countryman JCW All4.

Design

The overall design of the new Countryman C remains very similar to the electric Countryman. However, since it is powered by an internal combustion engine, it gets a revised front grille and slightly different bumper styling. Apart from these changes, the SUV retains several signature MINI design elements.

These include a dual-tone exterior finish, blacked-out grille, sporty front and rear bumpers, dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels and black-finished ORVMs. The upright stance and modern design language continue to give the SUV a premium and distinctive road presence.

Interior

Inside, the Countryman C features MINI's signature dual-tone cabin theme with the use of recycled and sustainable materials. The highlight of the dashboard is the large circular touchscreen infotainment system, which has become a signature element of modern MINI models.

The SUV is also expected to offer a premium audio system, high-quality speakers, paddle shifters, a head-up display (HUD) and several connected car features. The cabin focuses on blending technology with the brand's unique retro-modern design philosophy.

Powertrain

The Countryman C is likely to be powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In comparison, the performance-focused Countryman JCW All4 uses a larger 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. MINI has not yet confirmed the final powertrain specifications for the Indian market.

Colours And Pricing

The new Countryman C will be available in Chilli Red, British Racing Green, Nanuq White, Slate Blue and Smokey Green colour options. The SUV could be locally assembled in India, helping MINI price it more competitively.

The top-spec Countryman JCW All4 is currently priced at Rs 64.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Countryman C is expected to be positioned below it. Once launched, it will rival entry-level luxury SUVs from brands such as BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
