2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Scores 5-Star Bharat NCAP Rating

Bharat NCAP has published crash test results for the 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza, a day ahead of the compact SUV's official launch. The facelifted Maruti Suzuki Brezza has secured a 5-star rating in both adult occupant protection (AOP) and child occupant protection (COP) tests.

The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza scored 30.41 out of 32 points in the AOP test and 43 out of 49 points in the COP test. Bharat NCAP tested the ZXI+ 1.5-litre 6-speed automatic variant, and the results apply across the model range.

In the frontal offset deformable barrier test the Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift scored 14.41 out of 16 points. The Brezza offered 'good' protection to the driver's head, neck, pelvis, thighs and feet, while the chest and tibiae scored 'adequate'. The co-driver received 'good' protection across all critical body parts except the tibiae, which scored 'adequate'.

In the side movable deformable barrier test the Brezza returned a perfect 16 out of 16 points, with the passenger's head, chest, abdomen and pelvis all rated 'good'. The side pole impact test returned an 'OK' rating.

2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Child Occupant Protection Score: 43/49

Bharat NCAP tested the Brezza with child seats for 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies, both installed in a rearward-facing direction. Both dummies scored a full 8 out of 8 points in the frontal impact test and 4 out of 4 points in the side impact test.

The 2026 Brezza facelift recorded a perfect 24 out of 24 points in the dynamic score and 12 out of 12 points in the CRS installation score. It lost 6 points in the vehicle assessment score, bringing the overall COP tally to 43 out of 49 points.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza ZXI+ 1.5-litre 6-speed automatic variant used for testing came equipped with 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), seatbelt reminders on all seats, seatbelt pretensioners for the front row, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages on the rear outboard seats.
