2026 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift Launched At Rs 6.10 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2026 Baleno facelift in India at Rs 6.10 lakh, ex-showroom, with prices for higher trims yet to be announced. The premium hatchback's mid-life update brings a new petrol engine, a CNG-AMT option and added feature content, and it continues to rival the Tata Altroz and the Hyundai i20.

The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift is the second-generation model's first design update since launch, and it remains exclusive to Maruti's Nexa dealership network. Bookings are open and deliveries are set to begin soon, with the Baleno's cumulative sales standing at 1.9 million units to date.

The updated 2026 Baleno switches to Maruti's 1.2-litre Z Series three-cylinder petrol engine, replacing the outgoing 1.2-litre K Series four-cylinder unit. The same Z Series engine also powers the Swift and Dzire, and is offered here with a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.

The engine is also available with a factory-fit CNG kit, and for the first time on the Baleno, this CNG setup can be paired with the AMT as well. This makes the Baleno only the second car in its segment, after the Altroz, to offer a CNG-AMT combination.
