2026 Maruti Brezza Spied With New Alloys, 6-Speed Manual
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been spotted testing on Indian roads, indicating that the compact SUV is preparing for a mid-cycle update. The test vehicle was heavily camouflaged, though several exterior and mechanical changes were visible.
Up front, the Maruti Brezza prototype does not reveal any major revisions, suggesting that the overall fascia could remain largely unchanged. The familiar upright stance and proportions of the current model appear to have been retained despite the camouflage.
Along the sides of the Maruti Brezza, however, new alloy wheels are visible, featuring a revised design compared to the outgoing model. A partially torn camouflage wrap also exposes thinner black cladding on the doors, indicating a possible reduction in plastic body mouldings.
The rear section of the Maruti Brezza remains concealed, but earlier sightings have hinted at updated lighting elements and subtle bumper revisions. Despite these tweaks, the basic silhouette is expected to stay close to the existing Brezza, consistent with a typical facelift strategy.
Two significant functional updates have been observed inside this test mule of the upcoming 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift. The first is a six-speed manual gearbox, which would mark a departure from the five-speed unit currently offered and potentially improve highway drivability.
The second change is a larger touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the current 9-inch unit. This suggests the cabin will receive a technology upgrade, possibly aligning the Brezza with newer Maruti models that feature bigger displays.
The Maruti Brezza already offers features such as a head-up display with turn-by-turn navigation, and these are expected to continue in the updated model. Additional feature enhancements may accompany the infotainment upgrade to keep the SUV competitive in its segment.
Mechanically, the Maruti Brezza facelift is expected to retain the existing 1.5-litre petrol engine options, including petrol and CNG variants, as mid-cycle updates typically focus on design and feature improvements rather than major powertrain changes.
The refreshed Maruti Suzuki Brezza will continue to compete in the highly contested sub-4-metre SUV segment against rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
