Spy Pics: 2026 Maruti Baleno Facelift Spotted Testing - Design Tweaks
The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift has been caught on camera for the first time in India. A camouflaged test mule was recently spotted testing, giving us our first look at what Maruti is planning for the popular hatchback's mid-cycle update.
The changes to the 2026 Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift, which were spotted by Youtuber Harsh VLOGS, appear to be on the conservative side. The most significant of thesechanges can be seen at the front end of the premium Maruti hatchback.
The most obvious change on the test mule for the 2026 revision for the Baleno is a revised front fascia. The Baleno facelift gets a sleeker grille design with what appears to be a slim chrome bar connecting both headlights.
The headlights themselves, however, look identical to the current model - projector LED units with boomerang-shaped DRLs are retained. One thing that's notably missing on the test mule is the LED fog lamps that currently sit on the bumper.

In profile, the mule rides on the same 16-inch alloy wheels seen on the current Zeta trim. Interestingly, the front and rear windscreens had camouflage where CNG stickers are usually placed, which hints that this was a CNG variant being tested - consistent with the fact that CNG is currently offered up to the Zeta trim on the existing Baleno.
At the rear, the design of the 2026 Maruti Baleno facelift looks largely unchanged, with the same wraparound LED taillights with pixel-shaped elements, a roof spoiler, and a rear wiper. A tweaked rear bumper is possible to freshen things up further.

A brief interior glimpse shows a cabin that's virtually identical to the current Maruti Baleno - trapezoid-shaped aircon vents, a free-standing 9-inch touchscreen, and a 3-spoke steering wheel with controls. That said, Maruti is likely to introduce a new colour theme and refreshed materials to give the interior a more premium feel.
Carry-over features are expected to include the analogue instrument cluster with a colour MID, automatic climate control, and a head-up display. There's also a chance Maruti could add features like a sunroof and ambient lighting to keep pace with rivals like the Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20.
The 2026 Maruti Baleno facelift is expected to carry over its existing engine options - a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol producing 90hp and 113Nm, available with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. The CNG variant with 77.5hp and 98.5Nm, paired with a manual gearbox only, should also continue.
As for pricing, the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Baleno is expected to command a slight premium over the current model, which starts at Rs 5.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
