2026 Hyundai i20 Teased Again Ahead of Fifa World Cup Debut - Connected Lighting
Hyundai Brazil has released a second teaser of the fourth-generation i20, confirming more of the hatchback's production-spec lighting design. The latest preview reveals a full-width LED light bar at the front, Y-shaped DRLs, and a matching rear light bar arrangement. A global debut is expected around the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The new Hyundai i20 teaser follows closely after the first official preview, expanding on what spy shots had already hinted at. The fourth-gen i20 is shaping up as the most dramatically redesigned iteration in the model's history, with sharper proportions, a more upright stance, and a significant cabin overhaul expected in higher-spec markets.
2026 Hyundai i20 Teased - Front Lighting Design
The standout element at the front is a full-width LED light bar linking the lighting clusters on both sides of the fascia. At the corners, distinctive Y-shaped LED DRLs draw direct comparisons to the Lamborghini Revuelto's lighting signature. The overall front-end treatment makes the new i20 look considerably more aggressive than the current model.
Below the DRL units sit rectangular projector headlamp clusters housed in a separate lower section. Unlike the first teaser, which only suggested the layout, this latest preview shows the actual production LED elements in clear detail.

2026 Hyundai i20 Teased - Rear and Side Profile
At the rear, the teaser shows a connected LED light bar paired with boomerang-shaped outer lighting elements, mirroring the front's emphasis on width and visual presence. The side profile confirms a squarer greenhouse and sharper body creases compared to the outgoing car.
The fourth-generation i20 adopts a more upright, crossover-influenced silhouette overall. Earlier test mules had revealed redesigned alloy wheels, revised bumpers, and a taller front fascia. The hatchback retains its compact footprint while projecting a noticeably stronger road presence.
2026 Hyundai i20 Teased - Expected Interior Upgrades
Hyundai has not officially revealed the new cabin yet. Spy shots indicate the next-gen i20 will feature a curved dual-screen setup similar to the brand's latest global models. Higher variants are anticipated to offer a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS functions as well.
2026 Hyundai i20 Teased - Expected Powertrain for India
For India, the existing engine lineup is expected to carry over. The standard i20 is likely to retain the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol producing 83 PS with the manual gearbox and 88 PS with the iVT automatic. Global markets may additionally receive hybrid powertrain options.
The i20 N Line is expected to continue with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol generating 120 PS and 172 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT. The fourth-generation model will also see production commence at Hyundai's Piracicaba facility in Brazil, alongside existing plants in India and Turkey.
