Bentley Flying Spur S Returns With 680hp Hybrid V8, Sharper Styling & More Tech

British luxury carmaker Bentley has revealed the updated 2026 Flying Spur luxury sedan, introducing a refreshed design, upgraded technology and the return of the sporty S variant. The revised range now consists of Standard, Azure, S, Speed and Mulliner models, with styling brought closer to the latest Continental GT and Continental GTC.

Production of the 2026 Bentley Flying Spur is scheduled to begin at Bentley's Crewe facility in September 2026. The latest updates are aimed at enhancing both performance and luxury while bringing the Flying Spur's design language in line with Bentley's newest Continental GT.

2026 Bentley Flying Spur - "S" Variant Returns To The Line-Up

The headline addition for 2026 is the return of the Flying Spur S. Positioned as the driver's choice within the range, the S combines Bentley's twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine with a plug-in hybrid system.

Total output stands at 680hp and 930Nm, making it the most powerful Flying Spur S ever produced. Bentley claims a 0-100km/h sprint time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 308km/h.

The Flying Spur S also benefits from chassis upgrades usually reserved for higher-performance variants. These include active anti-roll bars, adaptive dampers, torque-vectoring all-wheel drive and, for the first time on a Flying Spur S, an electronic limited-slip rear differential. Bentley says these changes deliver a more engaging and agile driving experience without compromising long-distance comfort.

2026 Bentley Flying Spur - Speed And Mulliner Remain At The Top

While the S returns as the sporty middle ground, the flagship Speed and Mulliner variants continue to sit at the top of the Flying Spur range. Their plug-in hybrid V8 powertrain develops 782hp and 1,000Nm, making the Flying Spur Speed the most powerful four-door Bentley ever built.Both variants complete the 0-100km/h run in 3.5 seconds.

All Flying Spur models use a 25.9kWh battery pack and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. Bentley claims an electric-only driving range of up to 80km under favourable conditions.

2026 Bentley Flying Spur - Exterior Inspired By The Continental GT

Visually, the Flying Spur adopts several cues from Bentley's latest grand tourer. The front end features a redesigned matrix grille, revised bumper detailing and new single round LED headlamps with distinctive horizontal daytime running light signatures. It is the first Bentley sedan since the early 1960s to move away from the brand's traditional four-headlamp arrangement.

The rear receives a cleaner boot lid design, updated lighting elements and new wheel options ranging from 21 to 22 inches. The S variant further distinguishes itself through Bentley's Blackline Specification, which darkens exterior trim elements including the grille, badging, mirrors and brightwork.

2026 Bentley Flying Spur - Cabin Gains New Features And Greater Customisation

Inside, the Flying Spur continues to focus on handcrafted luxury while introducing new technology. A 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard, with Bentley's rotating display available on selected variants. Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless charging and USB-C connectivity are included across the range.

Bentley has also expanded personalisation options with new upholstery combinations, stitching patterns and trim finishes. Buyers can additionally specify the 21-speaker Naim for Mulliner premium audio system, originally developed for the limited-production Bentley Batur.

Rear passengers continue to benefit from massage, heating and ventilation functions, along with extensive seat adjustment options.
