The W16 Mistral represents a significant milestone for Bugatti, marking the end of the legendary W16 engine era. This powerful roadster has been delivered to its first customers, symbolising a new chapter for both the brand and its owners. The Mistral's design is inspired by Bugatti's iconic roadsters from history, blending elegance with an open-top driving experience that is unmatched.
Bugatti's W16 Mistral draws inspiration from historical models like the 1934 Type 57 Roadster Grand Raid Usine and the Type 57S Roadster by Corsica. These vehicles set the foundation for the Mistral's elegant design and open-air driving experience. The latest model was unveiled at Monterey Car Week in 2022, captivating audiences with its timeless beauty and innovative design.
The W16 Mistral is powered by Bugatti's legendary W16 engine, delivering an unparalleled driving experience. This engineering marvel combines immense power with an open-top configuration, offering a unique blend of performance and emotion. In 2024, it achieved a top-speed record of 453.91 km/h, solidifying its status as the world's fastest roadster.
The vehicle's journey began with stunning debuts in America before embarking on a global tour. It made appearances at events like Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille 2022 and travelled through regions such as the Middle East, Tokyo, Singapore, and southern France. Each location added to its allure and showcased its elegance.
The first W16 Mistrals delivered feature distinct designs that highlight their elegance. One model boasts a 'Black Carbon' finish with 'Bugatti Light Blue Sport' accents, while another showcases a 'White Glacier' finish enhanced by 'Blue Carbon' touches. Both vehicles reflect Bugatti's commitment to craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Inside the cockpit, boldness meets sophistication with 'Bugatti Light Blue Sport' leather upholstery and 'Black Carbon' accents. The white model contrasts this with full-white leather and 'Lake Blue' stitching. Each car includes Rembrandt Bugatti’s ‘Dancing Elephant’ motif within the gear-lever, crafted from aluminum.
