Volvo EX90 Recognised As Winner Of 2025 Wards 10 Best Interior & UX Award
The 2025 Volvo EX90 has been recognised as a winner of the 2025 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX award. This accolade highlights its blend of luxury, functionality, and sustainability. Evaluators were impressed by the fully electric, three-row EX90's premium design and intuitive technology after reviewing over 30 vehicles.
Volvo Cars will receive this honour at the 2025 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX awards ceremony on June 5, 2025. The event will take place during the AutoTech 2025 Conference at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, MI.
The EX90's interior showcases a large centre display with Google built-in. This feature enables drivers to access Google Maps, Google Assistant, and other apps from Google Play. A driver display and head-up display further enhance the driving experience by providing essential information while keeping focus on the road.
Christie Schweinsberg, program manager and judge for Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX, stated: "The Volvo EX90 checks all the boxes that we look for in a winning interior: lovely design aesthetics, interesting or unique trim, high levels of comfort, plenty of space for passengers and cargo, and well-performing technologies providing for a great user experience."
The EX90 offers both six and seven-passenger configurations. This flexibility allows owners to accommodate more passengers without sacrificing storage space. Behind the third row is a spacious cargo area with ample under-floor storage. Rear seats fold flat when needed for additional storage, with power-operated third-row seats enabling easy transitions.
The vehicle's Bowers & Wilkins sound system features 25 high-fidelity speakers. It delivers an immersive audio experience enhanced by Dolby Atmos technology. Judges praised this system along with the high-resolution main display and user-friendly interface.
Sustainable Materials and Design
The use of bio-attributed materials like Nordico, Volvo Cars’ premium leather alternative, was also commended by judges. These materials align with Volvo’s tradition of refined interiors combined with intuitive technology. The design draws inspiration from traditional Scandinavian living rooms.
Backlit wood decor with LED lighting mimics natural sunlight within the cabin. Passengers can enjoy natural light through a panoramic roof designed to reduce sun glare.
