Volvo EX30 Launched At ₹41 Lakh - 480km Range, 180km/h Top Speed

Swedish carmaker Volvo has launched the EX30 electric SUV in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹41 lakh. The Volvo EX30 is the brand's most affordable electric SUV for India and it will be locally assembled at the Hosakote facility in Karnataka.

For early buyers, Volvo is offering a limited-time pre-reservation price of ₹39.99 lakh for bookings made before October 19, 2025. Deliveries of the Volvo EX30 are scheduled to begin in the first week of November.

The Volvo EX30 is powered by a 69 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, providing a WLTP-certified range of 480 kilometres on a single charge. The EX30 features a single rear-mounted motor delivering 272 bhp and 343 Nm of torque, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and a top speed of 180km/h.

The electric Volvo EX30 supports fast charging with a CCS2 connector. Using a 150 kW fast charger, the battery can fast charge to 80% capacity in approximately 27 minutes. Standard AC charging via the included 11 kW wall box takes around 7 hours for a full charge.

Inside, the cabin has a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in services, 5G connectivity, and over-the-air software updates. The 1040W Harman Kardon audio system features nine speakers and an amplifier. Also present is ambient lighting with five themes for customisation.

Safety is provided through Volvo's Safe Space Technology, which includes five cameras, five radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. The Volvo EX30 has received a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. It also includes driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping aid, blind spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking.

Other benefits include a three-year warranty, service package, and roadside assistance. The Volvo EX30 also comes with an eight-year battery warranty, five years of digital services subscription, and NFC-based digital key functionality for vehicle access and control.
