Volvo Cars Partners With Boston Red Sox As Official Luxury Vehicle For 2025 Season
Volvo Cars has become the Official Luxury Vehicle of the Boston Red Sox, marking the start of a five-year collaboration. This partnership highlights shared values of community and connection. As Volvo celebrates 70 years in the U.S., it strengthens its ties with Boston, one of its earliest markets. Fenway Park, a historic venue for baseball fans, now features Volvo's presence prominently.
Starting this season, Red Sox fans will notice the Volvo logo on the center field garage door during all home games. This strategic placement aligns with Volvo's push towards electric vehicles. The automaker also sponsors the Electric Play of the Game on WEEI radio, showcasing standout plays and connecting fans to the action in new ways.
Brett Lyons, Head of the Northeast Region at Volvo Car USA, stated, "As a company with a 70-year legacy in the U.S., partnering with one of America’s most iconic baseball teams in one our most established markets was a perfect opportunity." This partnership allows Volvo to engage with a loyal customer base and deepen its roots in the region.
Red Sox season ticket holders for 2025 can benefit from an Affinity discount on select Volvo vehicles, valued up to $1,000. Troup Parkinson, Chief Marketing and Partnerships Officer for the Red Sox, expressed excitement about welcoming back Volvo as their official luxury vehicle partner. He noted that both brands share a commitment to excellence and memorable experiences.
The partnership includes access to the Volvo Cars Royal Rooters Club at Fenway Park. This premium hospitality space offers food and beverage services and showcases Red Sox memorabilia. It blends modern luxury with historical charm, celebrating both Volvo's design and Red Sox culture.
This collaboration revives a relationship that began in 2003. In 2008, Volvo celebrated the Red Sox's 2007 championship by producing 107 limited-edition C30 hatchbacks. These vehicles featured special badges and numbered plaques authenticated by Major League Baseball, becoming sought-after collectibles among fans.
