Volvo Car USA And Canada Achieves January Sales Of 8,755 Cars With Growth In Electrified Models
Volvo Car USA and Canada reported a 5.4% increase in sales for January, with 8,755 cars sold compared to the previous year. Electrified models, including fully electric and plug-in hybrids, saw a significant rise of 43.8%, making up 35.8% of total sales for the month.
In the United States, Volvo's January sales reached 8,136 vehicles, marking a 5.4% increase from last year. Electrified models accounted for 34.4% of these sales, showing a substantial growth of 49.3%. Meanwhile, Canadian sales rose by 4.4%, with 619 cars sold. In Canada, electrified models made up 53.3% of sales, reflecting a 9.6% increase.
The XC60 compact luxury SUV emerged as the top-selling model in both countries with 3,149 units sold in January. Following closely were the XC90 midsize luxury SUV with 2,748 units and the XC40 small luxury SUV with 1,370 units.

Volvo Car Group achieved record-breaking results in 2023 with an operating profit of SEK 25.6 billion and revenue reaching SEK 399.3 billion. Global sales hit an all-time high of 708,716 cars during this period.
