Volkswagen Unveils Stylish Black Edition Electric SUVs: ID.4 And ID.5 Models Available Now
Volkswagen is introducing the Black Edition trims for its ID.4 and ID.5 models in the UK on 29 May. These new versions aim to enhance the electric SUV market by offering more style, comfort, and value. The Black Edition trims provide additional features compared to the existing Match versions of these models.
The exterior of the Black Edition models is enhanced with 19-inch Onyx black alloy wheels, a panoramic glass sunroof, and black exterior mirror housings. They also feature high-gloss black roof trim, rear pillars, and black rear nameplates. These elements contribute to a sleek and stylish appearance.
Inside, the Black Editions boast Volkswagen’s Top-Sport 'Plus' Interior Pack. This includes front sport seats with integrated head restraints, power-adjustable lumbar support, and a massage function. The seats are upholstered in luxurious ArtVelours microfleece, combining style with comfort.
The cost of these additional features would typically be £4,625 if ordered separately. However, the new Black Edition trims are priced at just £1,780 more than the existing ID.4 and ID.5 Match variants.
The on-the-road recommended retail prices for these models are £46,180 for the ID.4 Black Edition, £47,900 for the ID.4 Black Edition with 4MOTION, and £47,680 for the ID.5 Black Edition. Each model comes equipped with a 77 kWh battery delivering 286 PS.
The WLTP ranges for these vehicles are 336 miles for the ID.4 Black Edition, 322 miles for the ID.4 Black Edition with 4MOTION, and 341 miles for the ID.5 Black Edition.
