VinFast Opens Pre-Bookings For VF7 And VF6 Electric SUVs - Launch Set For Festive Season
Vinfast Auto India has officially opened pre-bookings for its VF7 and VF6 electric vehicles, allowing prospective buyers to place their orders through both digital and physical platforms with a booking fee of Rs 21,000.
Vinfast aims to launch the VF6 and VF7 during the upcoming festive season, with plans to start with the larger VF7. Vinfast will assemble both the VF6 and VF7 locally at its facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
Vinfast VF7 & VF6: Variants and Features
The VF7, the premium model in VinFast's Indian lineup for now, boasts impressive specifications, including a choice between a 70.8kWh LFP battery pack that supports AC charging at 7.2kW and DC fast charging. Customers can opt between a 204hp, 310Nm front-wheel-drive (FWD) version or a more powerful 350hp, 500Nm all-wheel-drive (AWD) model. The FWD variant promises a range of 450km, while the AWD model offers 431km on a single charge, as per WLTP testing.
For those interested in the VF6, the electric SUV comes equipped with a 59.6kWh battery pack, compatible with both AC and DC charging systems, and drives a 204hp electric motor located at the front axle. This configuration enables the VF6 to achieve a WLTP range of up to 480km on a single charge.
Both the VF6 and VF7 will be offered in several trim levels, including Earth and Wind for the VF6, and an additional Sky trim for the VF7, along with a variety of exterior colors and interior designs.
Expanding VinFast's Footprint in India
VinFast is leveraging the resources of its parent company Vingroup to establish a comprehensive service and charging infrastructure across India. The company has already partnered with 13 dealer groups to set up 32 outlets in 27 cities across the country, covering major urban centers and emerging EV markets. This network aims to provide accessible and reliable support for VinFast customers throughout India.
Additionally, VinFast has announced collaborations with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure to build a nationwide charging and after-sales service network. These partnerships, along with an agreement with BatX Energies for battery recycling and rare metal recovery, underline VinFast's commitment to sustainable mobility solutions in India.
The VF6 is set to challenge competitors like the Hyundai Creta Electric, offering a suite of features including Level 2 Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), a panoramic sunroof, connected car technology, and an advanced infotainment system. The VF7, with its larger dimensions and a substantial 75.3kWh battery pack, will cater to those seeking a more premium electric SUV experience.

The introduction of the VF6 and VF7 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year marked VinFast's debut in the Indian EV market.
