VinFast To Announce VF6 and VF7 Prices On This Date
Vietnamese car manufacturer VinFast will reveal the prices of its first electric cars for India - the VF6 and VF7 - on 6 September 2025. Both the Vinfast VF6 and VF7 are locally assembled at the company's Thoothukudi plant and mark the brand's official entry into the Indian market.
The VF6, the smaller of the two midsize electric SUVs, comes with a 59.6 kWh battery and a front-mounted 204 hp motor. The Vinfast VF6 offers a WLTP-rated certified range of 480 km on a single charge.

The VF7 is the larger of the two offerings from Vinfast for India. Buyers will be able to choose between a two-wheel-drive version with the same 204 hp motor as the VF6 or an AWD setup, which adds a rear motor to deliver a total of 350 hp and 500 Nm of peak torque.
In its AWD avatar, the VF7 offers a WLTP-rated range is about 431 km. The FWD variant, on the other hand, offers approximately 450 km. These numbers position both models competitively against electric rivals like the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Harrier EV, and
Mahindra's EV lineup.

VinFast started accepting pre-bookings for both SUVs on 15 July 2025, charging a token amount of ₹21,000. Dealership setups are already underway, with plans to roll out up to 35 outlets across India by the end of the year.
The VF6 and VF7 are assembled at Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu. This facility is already active in producing the SUVs, with capacity likely to increase as demand grows and local operations expand.
We expect prices of the Vinfast VF6 to range between ₹18-23 lakh ex-showroom, when it is launched on the 6th of April. We expect the Vinfast VF7 lineup to cost between ₹22-28 lakh ex-showroom, when it is revealed to the Indian public on the same day.
