Vida Dirt.E K3 Launched At ₹69,990: Is This Electric Dirt Bike For Kids The Perfect Christmas Present?
Vida, the electric vehicle division of Hero MotoCorp, has launched the Dirt.E K3 electric dirt bike in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹69,990 for the first 300 buyers. The Vida Dirt.E K3 electric dirt bike targets children aged roughly four to ten who want an accessible entry into off-road riding and dirt biking.
The Dirt.E K3 was first unveiled at the EICMA 2025 show and now marks Vida's entry into youth-oriented off-road motorcycles in the Indian market. Designed as a compact electric dirt bike, it aims to provide a learning platform for young riders before they progress to larger motorcycles as they grow.
The Vida Dirt.E K3 features an adjustable chassis with a three-stage setup that can adapt wheelbase, seat height and handlebar height as the child grows. The three height levels correspond to seat heights of 454mm, 544mm and 631mm, allowing the Dirt.E K3 to be used over multiple growth stages.
Powered by an electric motor rated at 500W peak (350W continuous) and paired with a 360Wh removable lithium-ion battery, the Dirt.E K3 is intended for short training rides or introductory off-road sessions. The removable battery can be charged at home.
Vida has equipped the K3 with three selectable riding modes - Low, Mid and High - each with speed limits to help beginners build confidence gradually. The low mode restricts top speed to 8km/h, the mid mode to 17km/h, and the high mode to 25km/h.
Safety features on the Dirt.E K3 include a magnetic kill switch, a chest pad on the handlebar to cushion impacts, and removable footpegs that allow parents to walk the bike when needed. The model comes standard with a rear brake only, with optional accessories such as a front brake and larger wheels available.
A connected smartphone app allows parents to configure top-speed limits, tune acceleration response and track ride data, adding an oversight layer for supervised riding. The Dirt.E K3 has also received international recognition for its modular design, including a Red Dot design award for ergonomics and adaptability.
With a 22kg kerb weight, the Vida Dirt.E K3 is designed to be easy for children to handle on trails and dirt sections. Its compact dimensions, adjustable settings and silent electric powertrain aim to make introductory off-road riding more approachable and less intimidating for young enthusiasts.
