Vasser Sullivan And Lexus Racing Announce Their Driver Lineup For The 2025 IMSA Season
Vasser Sullivan and Lexus Racing have announced their driver lineups for the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship. In the GTD PRO class, Ben Barnicoat and Aaron Telitz will drive the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 full-time. Meanwhile, Jack Hawksworth and Parker Thompson will team up in the No. 12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus entry in the GTD category.
The 2025 IMSA Michelin Endurance Championship sees Kyle Kirkwood returning to the No. 14 Lexus in GTD PRO, while Frankie Montecalvo takes on endurance driving duties for the No. 12 GTD entry this season. Townsend Bell, a seasoned Lexus driver, will join Barnicoat, Telitz, and Kirkwood in the GTD PRO class at the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway.

Kyle Kirkwood will also compete in the No. 12 RC F GT3 during the Rolex 24 at Daytona, marking a first for a Lexus driver to race double-duty between two entrants in this prestigious event. Barnicoat is entering his fourth season as a factory driver with seven wins and 19 podiums under his belt.
Aaron Telitz returns full-time after serving as an endurance driver last year. This marks his sixth season with Vasser Sullivan and Lexus, where he has achieved five victories and won the IMSA GTD Sprint Cup title in 2020.
Kirkwood is embarking on his sixth season as an endurance driver with Vasser Sullivan, boasting three IMSA victories including wins at Detroit and Petit Le Mans in 2022. Bell will continue his dual role as both a racer and NBC race analyst.
Hawksworth enters his ninth season with Lexus, competing full-time alongside rising star Parker Thompson in the No. 12 car. Hawksworth has secured 11 victories since joining the program in 2017.
Thompson's Progress
This will be Thompson's second full-time season with Vasser Sullivan Lexus after a breakout year that included three pole positions and a victory at Long Beach alongside Barnicoat. The Canadian driver has two wins from just 15 career starts.
Frankie Montecalvo begins his seventh overall season with Vasser Sullivan as an endurance driver for the No. 12 team. Last year he earned a pole position at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park and finished on the podium at Petit Le Mans.
Upcoming Events
The Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 entries are set to return to action during the Roar Before the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway from January 17-19, preparing for the main event on January 25-26.
"The only thing more difficult than winning the 2023 championship was defending it," said Jeff Bal, Senior Manager of Lexus Motorsports. "We’ve got what it takes to win and we’re intending to do just that beginning with Daytona."
"Every driver in this lineup has won with us," stated co-owners Jimmy Vasser & James ‘Sulli’ Sullivan. "With Kyle Kirkwood pulling double duty between both cars, this will be a very dynamic Rolex 24 race for us."
