Trent Abbott Appointed To CF200 Executive Committee At Petersen Automotive Museum
The Petersen Automotive Museum has recently appointed Trent Abbott, vice president of global development at Hagerty, to its CF200 Executive Committee. This committee is part of the Checkered Flag 200, a prestigious membership group established in 1994 that brings together car enthusiasts and collectors worldwide. Abbott's role will involve collaborating with other automotive leaders to plan events and encourage contributions from CF200 members.
Abbott's extensive background spans over 25 years in high-net-worth sectors, including investment, insurance, and collectibles. At Hagerty, he focuses on managing risks for large vehicle collections by providing comprehensive insurance solutions for cars used both domestically and internationally. His lifelong passion for automobiles sees him actively participating in vintage car rallies and attending major concours events and auctions.

Bruce Meyer, founder and chairman of the CF200, expressed enthusiasm about Abbott joining the committee. "Trent brings a unique mix of business skill and automotive enthusiasm to our CF200 Executive Committee," Meyer stated. "His passion for collecting and racing, combined with his industry knowledge, makes him a valuable addition to the other highly skilled individuals who will help lead the museum into the future."
Abbott joins a distinguished group on the CF200 board alongside Founder and Chairman Bruce Meyer. Other members include Mark Alfano, Robert Bistagne, David Brynan, Caroline Cassini, Kip Cyprus, Bill Hammerstein, Jim Hull, Dan Kahn, Matt Malamut, Tom McIntyre, Ron Rader, and Doug Weitman. Together they aim to advance the museum's mission through strategic initiatives.
The Petersen Automotive Museum is a non-profit organisation located at 6060 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles. It offers various admission prices: $21 for adults, $19 for seniors (62+), $13 for youth (12-17), and $12 for children aged 4 to 11. Active military personnel with ID, personal care attendants, and children under four enjoy free entry. The museum operates daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Abbott expressed his excitement about joining the committee: "It’s an incredible honor to join the CF200 Executive Committee," he said. "This is an exciting chance to work with friends and peers on a great cause and to make a difference in the hobby I love so much."
