Toyota Sales Report September 2025 – 31,091 Units Sold, 16% YoY Growth
Japanese carmaker Toyota reported a strong showing in September 2025, selling 31,091 units. This represents a 16 percent year-on-year growth over the 26,847 units sold in September 2024.
Of these, 27,089 units were sold by Toyota in the domestic market, while 4,002 units were exported. In August 2025, Toyota had sold 29,302 units, so September saw a 7.5 percent month-on-month dip compared to the previous month.
Looking at the previous quarter, in Q2 FY26 (July to September), Toyota's domestic sales reached 85,550 units, up 4.4 percent compared to the 81,924 units sold in Q2 FY25. Toyota's combined domestic and export sales for the first half of FY26 came in at 1,84,959 units, rising 13.7 percent from the 1,62,623 units sold over the same period, a year ago.
Commenting on September's sales, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motors, said: "Thanks to the landmark GST reforms by the Government of India and the onset of the festive season, market sentiments have been upbeat. At TKM, we have passed on the full benefits of GST to our customers, which has further boosted demand across our portfolio. With the festive season gathering momentum, we are confident of a strong performance ahead. Right now, our foremost priority is to ensure timely deliveries so that customers can celebrate the festivities in their favourite Toyota, making this season truly special."
Important updates from Toyota in September include the updated Toyota Rumion, which is now equipped with six airbags as standard across all variants. Price reductions were also introduced across the portfolio, with full GST benefits passed to customers.
