Toyota Reports Significant Sales Increase In February 2025
Toyota, a globally recognised Japanese car manufacturer, has seen a steady rise in its sales figures, largely due to its partnership with Maruti Suzuki. This collaboration has led to the rebadging of several Maruti models under the Toyota brand, contributing to increased sales month after month. In February 2025, Toyota sold 26,414 cars, marking a 13% increase from the 23,300 units sold in February 2024.
In February 2025, the Innova series remained Toyota's top seller in India. The combined sales of the Innova Crysta and Innova Hycross reached 8,449 units. This figure is slightly lower than the 8,481 units sold in February 2024. Despite this minor dip, the Innova continues to lead Toyota's sales in the country.

The Toyota Glanza, a rebadged version of Maruti Suzuki's Baleno, secured second place among Toyota's best-sellers last month. In February 2025, 4,596 Glanza units were sold, which is just 15 more than the previous year. This consistent performance underscores the model's popularity among Indian consumers.
In third place was the Toyota Hyryder with sales of 4,314 units in February 2025. This model experienced a drop from its second-place position in February 2024 when it sold 5,601 units. Despite this decline, the Hyryder remains a significant contributor to Toyota's overall sales.

The newly launched Toyota Innova Crysta claimed fourth place with sales of 3,604 units. This model was not available in February 2024, highlighting its impact on boosting Toyota's sales figures this year. The introduction of new models like the Crysta plays a crucial role in attracting more buyers.
Following closely were the Fortuner and Rumion models in fifth and sixth places respectively. In February 2025, Fortuner sold 2,876 units while Rumion accounted for 2,099 units. These models continue to maintain their appeal among Indian consumers.

Additional Sales Figures
Besides these popular models, Toyota also sold other vehicles in India during February. The Hilux pickup truck saw sales of 248 units while the Camry sedan recorded 209 units. Additionally, the luxury Velfire model had modest sales with just 19 units sold.
The overall increase in Toyota's sales by 3,100 units compared to last year can be attributed largely to the introduction of new models like the Innova Crysta. This strategy of launching fresh models alongside rebadged versions has proven effective for Toyota in capturing a larger market share.
