Exterior Design
Toyota has built this new Hilux on a "Tough and Agile" design theme, making it more muscular and sharper at the front. It has slimmer LED headlights compared to previous generations. At the centre, it gets a Toyota badge which connects the two LED lights, and the bumpers are also redesigned.

It now comes in a double-cab body style based on customer preferences. The EV variant gets a closed grill at the front, and the rear LED taillights remain the same. To improve practicality, Toyota has given a new rear deck step and reprofiled side steps. The alloy wheels are also now more aerodynamic and have a blackout theme.
Powertrain options
The biggest surprise was the BEV variant that has a 59.2 kWh Lithium-ion battery and dual eAxles. It produces 205 Nm at the front and 268.6 Nm at the rear. The Hilux BEV offers a maximum range of 240 kilometres with a 715 kg payload and 1,600 Kg towing capacity. It also comes with a 2.8L diesel hybrid and a 2.8L diesel engine variant.
The 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine produces 150kW of power and 500Nm of torque. It is fitted with a 6-speed Automatic and 6-speed manual transmission (420 Nm). The 48V Active technology gives an additional 8.5 kW and 65 Nm torque. Toyota is also planning to bring a hydrogen-flex cell Hilux by 2028.
Interiors

The company has focused on improving the interior comfort through modernisation. On the inside, the dashboard gets a 12.3-inch customisable driver display and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with off-road controls. The BEV variant of the Hilux will get a shift-by-wire system. Connectivity features include wireless smartphone charging, Android Auto& Apple CarPlay, rear USB ports, and remote vehicle access via the My Toyota app.
