Toyota Hilux Black Edition Launched In India At Rs 37.9 Lakh - The Invincible One Just Got Meaner
Japanese carmaker Toyota launched the new Hilux Black Edition in India. The Toyota Hilux Black Edition is priced at Rs 37.9 lakh (ex-showroom) Bookings for the Hilux Black Edition are now open across India, with deliveries slated to begin later in the month.
The Toyota Hilux Black Edition was showcased at Auto Expo 2025 and features a host of scosmetic changes while retaining the tough mechanical bits of the "regular" version of the pickup truck.
The exterior of the Hilux Black Edition has been revamped with an aggressive all-black theme, emphasizing its commanding presence on the road. The vehicle features a black front radiator grille, 18-inch black alloy wheels, and black accents on the door handles, ORVM covers, and fender garnish.
Inside, the Black Edition provides a luxurious cabin experience, marrying comfort with the latest technology. The interior boasts premium leather upholstery and a dual-zone fully automatic temperature control system for a refined atmosphere. For entertainment and connectivity, an eight-inch touchscreen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is installed. The vehicle also features an eight-way powered driver seat and an electrochromic rear-view mirror that automatically dims, ensuring maximum comfort and convenience during long journeys.
At its core, the Hilux Black Edition boasts a 2.8-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that pushes out 201.15bhp and 500Nm of peak torque that is sent to all four wheels by a a 6-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive.
Ensuring a secure ride, the Black Edition comes equipped with 7 SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TC), and an Electronic Differential Lock (EDL). It also includes safety features like Automatic Hill Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Assist Control (DAC), and Automatic Limited Slip Differential (ALSD) for enhanced control on all sorts of terrains.
