Toyota Teases Next-Gen Hilux Ahead Of November Launch
Toyota Thailand has revealed a new teaser of the next-gen Toyota Hilux pickup truck, which will make its global debut on November 10, 2025. The next-generation Fortuner will also be based on the upcoming Toyota Hilux and will use the same engine, design, and components. The current generation Hilux is almost 10 years old and is due for an update a long time ago.
New-gen Toyota Hilux teased in Thailand

Coming to the design, the new-gen Hilux will feature a refreshed design with sleek LED headlamps and C-shaped DRLs. It will look more modern than the current model, which is on sale. We could also expect a new front grill with the 'Toyota' badge instead of its traditional logo.
The car looks more muscular, wider, and it will have a more aggressive bumper like a real pickup truck. Toyota has completely blacked out the alloy wheels, which look rugged and more off-road focused.

The LED taillamps at the rear are completely reworked, and the rear windshield is similar to the current-gen model. The tailgate also has Hilux badge plastic inserts. It could feature the same wheels and tyres as the Fortuner.
Coming to the powertrain, it will share the same mild-hybrid 2.8-litre diesel engine as the Toyota Fortuner. It produces 204 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque. The transmission options will be a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic with a 4x4 drivetrain and locking differentials.
This new Hilux will make its global debut on November 10, 2025, and could be launched in India by 2027. The pricing could start around 35 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Toyota Fortuner is selling at 36.05 lakhs (ex-showroom) and goes up to 52.34 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The Toyota Hilux is sold in the lifestyle pickup truck category, where there is minimal rivalry. The Isuzu V-Cross is its only competitor, and soon, Mahindra will launch the Scorpio N Pickup truck, and we expect the competition to get intense.
