Toyota GAZOO Racing North America Unveils Legends Cup For Experienced Racers In 2025 GR Cup Series

The GR Cup Series, organised by Toyota GAZOO Racing North America (TGRNA), is introducing the Legends Cup with support from WWEX Group. This new class is tailored for drivers aged 45 and above, providing them a platform to compete at renowned tracks across the United States during the 2025 season. The Legends Cup will be part of select GR Cup events, offering seasoned racers a chance to showcase their skills.

In this six-race series, participants will compete at Circuit of the Americas, Road America, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Each race lasts 45 minutes, and the top three finishers in each event will be honoured on a special podium. The driver with the most points accumulated over all Legends Cup events will earn the title of inaugural WWEX Group Legends Cup Champion.

Legends Cup Announced for 2025 GR Cup Series

WWEX Group is enhancing the competition by awarding a $5,000 bonus to the highest finishing Legend driver at each of the 14 GR Cup races in 2025. This incentive aims to encourage high-level performance among experienced racers. At season's end, the Legend driver with the most cumulative points will receive an additional $5,000 as the WWEX Group Fastest Legend.

Overall, $75,000 in prize money is available for Legends drivers through these awards. Mike Norem, TGRNA's Customer Racing manager, expressed enthusiasm about recognising these drivers' experience and passion. "The Legends Cup is an exciting opportunity to recognize the experience and passion that these racers bring to the track," he stated.

The introduction of the Legends Cup underscores TGRNA’s dedication to offering competitive opportunities for drivers from various backgrounds while celebrating motorsports enthusiasts' talent at different career stages. This initiative adds another thrilling dimension to the GR Cup Series.
