Toyota Fortuner Legender 4X4 MT Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 46.36 Lakh

The Toyota Fortuner Legender now offers three variants: 4x4 MT, 4x2 AT, and 4x4 AT. The introduction of a manual gearbox is exclusive to the 4x4 version. Priced at Rs 46.36 lakh, the manual variant is Rs 1.73 lakh cheaper than its automatic counterpart, which costs Rs 48.09 lakh.

Fortuner Legender's Engine & Performance

The Legender 4x4 MT is equipped with the same 2.8-litre diesel engine as the automatic versions. While it maintains a power output of 204hp, torque is reduced by 80Nm when paired with the six-speed manual gearbox, resulting in a total of 420Nm. The vehicle continues to utilise a 4x4 system for power distribution.

Despite the addition of a manual transmission, there are no changes to the features or colour options for this variant. The Fortuner Legender remains available in a dual-tone Platinum White Pearl with Black Roof finish and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the Fortuner Legender retains its black and maroon theme across all variants. Key features include ambient lighting, an 11-speaker JBL audio system with a sub-woofer, ventilated front seats, hands-free tailgate opening, and seven airbags for safety.

Pricing Comparison

In terms of competition, the Fortuner Legender's pricing positions it against other large seven-seat diesel SUVs like the MG Gloster (Rs 39.57 lakh-44.03 lakh) and Jeep Meridian (Rs 24.99 lakh-38.79 lakh). However, neither competitor offers a combination of a manual gearbox with a 4x4 system.
